How Botox smooths out wrinkles, when to expect full effects, and how long results actually last.
Have you ever wondered how long Botox lasts? You’re not alone! I get this question all the time from people who want to plan their treatments. If you’ve also been curious about when Botox starts working and how long it lasts, I’ve got you covered! I’ll break it all down so you can feel confident about your Botox journey.
When does Botox start working? Botox isn’t instant, so don’t worry if you don’t see results right away! You’ll start noticing changes in 3 to 5 days, with full effects settling in around 10 to 14 days. So if you have a big event coming up, like a wedding or vacation, it’s best to schedule your appointment at least two weeks in advance. That way, you’ll have plenty of time for Botox to do its thing.
How long does Botox last? On average, Botox lasts around three to four months. Some people process it quickly, while others keep results longer. But generally, you’ll know when it’s time for a touch-up when movement on the forehead and crow’s feet area returns.

Will my wrinkles come back worse if I stop? A lot of people worry that if they stop Botox, their wrinkles will come back worse than before. That’s not how it works! When Botox wears off, your muscles gradually go back to their normal movements while your skin returns to its natural state.
The good news is with consistent treatments, those muscles can learn to be less active over time. This leads to fewer lines in the long run.
